Stacking rings

Stacking rings has become an iconic fashion trend.

If you've ever wanted to wear multiple rings on not only one hand but on a single finger, stacking rings are the perfect solution for you. Differing bands of plain, hammered, accented or with a stone, can be chopped and changed around to suit what you are wearing on a given day.

Made from 1.8mm or 2mm sterling silver wire.

Stackable plain / hammered rind £20

Stackable with 6mm cabochon £35 (Amethyst and Turquoise are sourceable but will ave a higher price point of approx £45)

Stackable with nugget £35

Stackable with an accent such as a heart £35

Garnet cabochon set ring, 6mm stone in a fluted bevel.

A gemstone cabochon is a gemstone that has been shaped and polished to be a dome shape on the top and is usually flat on the bottom. Gemstones that are opaque are usually made into cabochons whereas more transparent gemstones are mainly faceted.

As a natural product each stone may have a slightly different shade /colour/striations.

Blue stone =  Lapis

Orange stone = Amber  and Carnelian

peacock blues, greens and golden yellow flashes = Labradorite

Red stone = Garnet

Green = Malachite and Agate

Black = onyx and hematite

A nugget - a ball of melted silver. Silver if melted enough will go from solid to a liquid form, as it does so it will form a ball / nugget

If the ring weight  over 7.78grams will be hallmarked due to the hallmarking of silver requirements.

Most rings do not weigh enough to be required to do so.

Spinner or fidget rings

Spinner rings are designed to be fiddled with. They're a healthy, less obvious way to move your hands when you feel that you need to be fidgeting. You simply spin the outer layer of the ring with your fingers and take deep breaths to experience a calm, more meditative state. The bonus is they look lovely too.

The one to right has a silver and 9ct gold spinner with a gold nugget added tp the silver spinner. designs are endless I suppose form a simple plain spinner, to an accent to multiple spinners.

The one below has a copper heart on a beaded sterling silver spinner.

Made to order

Wiggle rings.

Well that's what I call them ;-). A little twist here and there to create a wiggly band of Sterling silver.

Ring sizers

Buy a ring sizer - or pop into a jewellers on the high street to check your size.  there is a sizer at the Tobi Frames shop in Long Eaton too.

Measure fingers in the evening

Fingers shrink and expand depending on the temperature, so it's recommended to measure fingers in the evening when your fingers are likely to be at their largest.

Did you know, your dominant hand is slightly larger?

If your client is looking for an engagement ring, be aware that if they send you a ring often worn on their partner's other hand - be aware that the dominant hand is often bigger so it's good to let your client know this.
